Leavitt Institute Dinner

By Chef Danielle July 13th, 2009

On Saturday I was able to put my years of catering training to use again.  My husband, Ryan, and I are friends with the Leavitt Family and so they asked us to cater for a dinner party they had at their house for the Leavitt Institute.  We served two of my favorite Dream Dinners: Chicken with Sesame Honey Butter and Steak Gorgonzola.  I also made rice pilaf, bread, salad, a fruit platter, and desserts.  It went very well and we got lots of comments on the food.  In the preparations for the event I even invented my own specialty bread that I think I will call Pesto Swirl Bread, I will make it again and document with pictures so keep your eyes out for that post.  My sister-in-law helped with a lot, the centerpieces in particular.  It was a lot of fun but at the end of the night Ryan and I remembered how sore your feet can get after a catering event.  The food, the band, and the company made the event a lot of fun to be a part of.  Thanks David and Chelom.
